Instructor

- Education: West Chester University, bachelor’s degree in psychology
- Certifications: Wilderness first responder, AIARE avalance level 1
- Favorite outdoor memory: Growing up taking weeks-long trips to the Red River Gorge with my climbing team. It was here that I grew a genuine love for the outdoors. As I continue to grow, I look back on these weeks as foundational to who I am as a person today.
- Favorite outdoor achievement: I took a gap semester in college to take a five-month solo road trip to find myself. The trip presented many different challenges that allowed me to grow in ways I never could have expected. Through those challenges, I was able to gain a better understanding of myself and the world around me, and that understanding is what I am most proud of.
- Favorite place you’ve traveled: A place I never expected to be as magical as it is would be Joshua Tree. The people and the setting are so welcoming and kind. On top of that, Joshua Tree has something to offer for anyone, whether you’re looking for a two-mile flat hike or to summit a mountain via multipitch climbing. I find that aspect to be very pertinent, as you get to meet people from all walks of life there.
- Favorite hobbies: I grew up rock climbing outside and have a deep passion for it. I also enjoy mountaineering, brisk hikes through the woods of Pennsylvania, slacklining, chess, coaching, paddleboarding, and horseback riding with my girlfriend! I am also a huge football fan. Go Birds!
- What are you most excited for this summer? Sharing my knowledge with the kids and helping them find growth through the backcountry and outdoors in general!
