Travel Protection Plans through Adventure Treks
Travel protection is not required by Adventure Treks but is strongly recommended. Each year before their trip starts, we see a number of students cancel their participation in an Adventure Treks trip because of medical reasons or unforeseen family or personal circumstances. Should your child be unable to attend or depart a summer trip early, travel protection can help you recover the cost once Adventure Treks tuition becomes non-refundable after March 1, 2024.
Adventure Treks is pleased to offer families* the opportunity to purchase travel protection, and families can purchase travel protection from the time of initial application up until final tuition payment.
There are two plans to choose from:
- Basic
- Cancel for any reason (CFAR)**
*Only U.S. residents are eligible to purchase one of these travel protection plans. For non-US residents looking for travel information insurance, please contact Adventure Treks at info@adventuretreks.com for options.
**Cancel for any reason is NOT available to New York state residents.

There are two ways to purchase travel protection from Adventure Treks:
- For new families who haven’t yet enrolled, submit an online application where you’ll be able to select one of the two travel protection plans.
Travel protection fees will be charged in addition to the $1,000 deposit upon application receipt. - For families currently enrolled (and who have not yet paid the final tuition balance), please log in to CampInTouch, click on Forms and Documents, open the “Adventure Treks Travel Protection” form, and select one of the two plans.
Travel protection fees will be charged at time of form submission.
Again, travel protection through Adventure Treks is optional but highly encouraged. Remember that the providers themselves are your best source of information, so we always recommend calling them directly with questions.
