Favorite hobbies
I’m deeply passionate about running—on a consistent running streak since May 2021—and enjoy swimming as part of my active lifestyle. Geography has always been a subject close to my heart, fueling my curiosity about landscapes, ecosystems, and human-nature relationships.
Favorite outdoor achievement
Spending 10 years in the Himalayas, I led more than 200 high-altitude trekking expeditions, introducing thousands of people to the outdoors. One of the most meaningful aspects of this journey was connecting deeply with local communities—understanding their roots, traditions, and their profound relationship with the land. This experience remains one of the most fulfilling and defining achievements of my life.
Favorite outdoor memory
One of the most unforgettable moments in my outdoor journey was witnessing a full moon rise during a lunar eclipse next to Mt. Everest, just after experiencing one of the most breathtaking sunsets of my life. I watched this extraordinary event from Gokyo Ri at 17,600 feet.
Favorite place in the world
The Roopkund trek and its surrounding region remain my favorite place in the world. Its extraordinary landscapes, the mysterious human skeleton lake, rich mythological stories, and the vibrant traditions and culture of the local people make it truly unforgettable.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I’m looking forward to exploring the magic of the Pacific Northwest while creating transformative outdoor experiences for participants and students—turning expedition into a meaningful and memorable journey for everyone involved.
