Favorite hobbies
Storymaking, stomping and squishing in the mud, a good sandwich, dancing, child-like play, giggle fits, cooking with and for friends, sun naps, cold swims, being outside in any and all forms, yoga and going on microadventures.
Favorite outdoor achievement
I hold onto the moments I’ve moved through fear, surrendered to the moment, and been held by my own body and community to do things outside that push my comfort zone. My most memorable times outside have been sharing these kinds of moments with students and the joy on their face when they do something they didn’t think they could.
Favorite outdoor memory
Wherever I go, my first summer with Adventure Treks, stomping around the Pacific Northwest and stumbling over my own feet, crawls back into my body. I can still feel the ache in my cheeks from grinning so big and how my body shook with laughter. It’s the first place my mind goes when I close my eyes and think about a joy far bigger than just my body.
Favorite place in the world
Blackstone Bay, AK
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I always look forward to the big bone-crushing hug that is the Adventure Treks community. That and all the giggle fits we will have together :). I’m grinning about what’s to come.
